Carrington College Attempts to Break GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ Blood Pressure Check Record

In observance of National High Blood Pressure Education Month in May, Carrington College’s 18 campuses nationwide are attempting to earn GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the most blood pressure tests given in an eight-hour period.
Carrington College’s San Leandro campus encourages members of the community to get their blood pressure taken by students in the Medical Assisting program. No appointments necessary for this complimentary test.
To break the current GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title, Carrington students will have to take more than 8,767 blood pressures nationwide in an eight-hour period. The current record was set in 2012 by the Society of Students of Pharmacy in cooperation with the Scientific Circle of Young Doctors and Nursing Students in Poland. Carrington has set a goal to provide 8,888 blood pressure tests within eight hours.
