About Careste
Talented CEO, Celeste Markey, and Elizabeth Shah, former senior designer for Giorgio Armani, Sonya Rykiel, Emanuel Ungaro and Salvatore Ferragamo, came up with an amazing idea and wondered why, with the growth and evolution of direct-to-consumer retailing, no one had stepped up to design and offer ultra luxury women’s fashion to challenge and disrupt the overpriced, elite fashion houses of Paris and Milan and the $250 billion luxury industry. By selling made-to-measure and made-to-order fashions directly online or via special events without the overhead of owned retail stores, warehouses, inventories, and runway shows, they could offer equal style and quality that fit better at far lower prices. They recently launched Careste and their exclusive new collection of dresses and blouses in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, receiving a universally positive response.
Unlike other ultra luxury fashion brands, Careste is by women, for women; Careste is sustainable, using only natural fabrics and carrying no inventory; and Careste is inclusive, making every product to each woman’s measurements, but also offering sizes 00-18 including half sizes. Careste has been featured in Vogue, W Magazine, Fashionista, Glamour, the Fashion Network, Brit + Co and others.
