Career Innovation: Propel Your Career with Leadership Power Tools & Design Thinking

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The 29th Annual PBWC Conference for Women in Business on April 24th, 2018 in San Francisco is focused on “Stand Up, Lift Up” - how to collectively elevate others and ourselves.
We, Laurie and Shalini, the hosts of this workshop and participants in the conference, would like to build on this idea of collective engagement and collaboration. While the dialogue of inclusion is focused on how to engage, empower, and advance women, it is equally important to focus on how can we collectively and collaboratively support this goal.
Under the current climate, it is hard to miss the effects of a rapidly changing workplace, especially as a woman. The result is usually a lot of ambiguity and apprehension about the future and how to deal with change that seems relentless and turbulent at times. Design thinking strategies, along with counter-intuitive leadership tools, can help  reframe the problem and discover new perspectives and opporunties for growth where none seemed to exist before. As a versatile, problem-solving tool, Design Thinking thrives most within collaborative environments and diverse perspectives. Our hope is to bring together like-minded people to generate innovative solutions to our workplace challenges.
So join us on April 25th to get inspired and collaborate.
Here are some comments from past participants:
"Power Tools really made me discover my own power, and learn some practical ways to advance my career."
“The design thinking exercise was the part where I learned so much from other people who were going through the same situation, or had already gone through it.”
“I’m used to applying design thinking to concrete products, its helpful to practice applying to conceptual problems.”
