SEE EVENT DETAILS
Café de la Presse to Host McBride Sisters Wine Tasting Dinner

Café de la Presse in San Francisco will host a McBride Sisters wine tasting dinner on Thursday, October 25 beginning at 6:30 p.m. and priced at $125.00 per person, all inclusive. Seating is limited, advance reservations are required and tickets can be obtained via https://www.yelp.com/reservations/caf%C3%A9-de-la-presse-san-francisco-3.

The McBride sisters plus Laurent Manrique and Patrick Albert from Café de la Presse have teamed up to create a special evening showcasing premier cuisine paired with extraordinary wines.

The four-course menu will include an Amuse Bouche of Chilled Oyster and Apple Mignonette paired with an NV Sparkling Brut Rosé New Zealand; Seared Scallop Caramelized Endives and Pomegranate Vinaigrette with a Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough New Zealand 2016; John Dory a la Nage, Grapes and Mushrooms Fricassée with a Chardonnay Central Coast California 2016; New Zealand Farmed Rack Of Lamb, Potato Galette, Garlic Cream, Cabernet Wine and Black Olive Sauce with a Red Blend Central Coast California 2015; and Pear And Chocolate Pavlova and a Red Blend Central Coast California 2015.

Robin and Andréa McBride, though continents apart, were both raised around vineyards in newly developing wine regions (Monterey, California, and Marlborough, New Zealand), each independently fostering their own appreciation for the craft of winemaking and each unaware of the other for nearly half their lives. Despite the 7,000 miles that separated them, they eventually found their way to each other in 1999.

Café de la Presse showcases meat-centric classic French offerings such as charcuterie boards, assorted steaks, Boeuf Bourguignon, Duck Confit, select fish dishes and a Plat du Jour weeknight special. Under the culinary direction of Chef Manrique and Executive Chef Albert, the café has for more than a decade been one of the San Francisco's foremost bistro-style dining spots, plus is known for its newsstand selection of assorted French language publications.

Café de la Presse is located at 352 Grant Avenue, at Bush, at the gates of Chinatown, in San Francisco, California. The restaurant serves food daily from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; brunch is served on weekends. Parking is available one-quarter block away at the Sutter-Stockton Street Garage. Visit Café de la Presse on the web at https://www.cafedelapresse.com. For reservations or more information, call (415) 398-2680.
