Stated another way, CAM is the interpreter between CAD models and the CNC machines that make these models real.
Using Fusion 360, we’ll show you how to go from virtual object to finished part: we’ll examine an example design, select that design’s relevant features, and learn how Fusion 360 creates paths for the CNC mill to trace those features. As the mill selectively removes material, the part is revealed.
If you want to learn specific lessons about programming your part, you're encouraged to bring your CAD model in the .step or .igs format.
