C5 Children’s School, a San Francisco-based leader in early childcare and education for infants through pre-kindergarten students, is hosting its 14th annual Festival of Learning celebration. On Tuesday, May 1, 150 toddlers through pre-K students comprising 13 learning groups will sing and debut artwork and learning projects aligned with this year’s theme, relationships. Guests and members of the community are invited to attend the performance and official ribbon cutting kicking off to the school’s first-ever, month-long digital exhibit. A Q & A and brief school tour for prospective parents will also take place.
Each year, C5 plans a Festival of Learning to provide an opportunity for current students to explore a theme of interest and present their findings. Relationships, this year’s Festival theme, are at the heart of learning and development with people, feelings, ideas, processes and things – and an important contributor to emotional intelligence. Given C5’s focus on integrating both hands-on and high-tech elements into the classroom, for the first time ever, C5 will be hosting a month-long Festival of Learning digital exhibit whereby presentations will be available to view online, along with a live-streaming of the performance, ribbon cutting and month’s educational seminars.
The event is free and open to the public. Those interested in attending the school tour please RSVP to http://bit.ly/C5FOLtour. For more information on C5 Children’s School, visit http://c5children.org. To view C5’s Festival of Learning exhibits online after May 1, visit http://www.c5fol.org/.
