"Greener Pastures" - Sustaining Petaluma's Future
Celebrating Petaluma's march towards a brighter, eco-conscious tomorrow!

Petaluma proudly presents its 41st annual parade "Greener Pastures" - Sustaining Petaluma's Future. Join us as we paint the town green and celebrate the importance of sustainability and preserving the beauty of our City and our planet. From enchanting farm-inspired floats to innovative displays promoting responsible practices, enjoy the eco-conscious messages that will highlight the connection between our community, businesses, and the environment. Marking 41 years of this annual tradition, let us come together to celebrate Petaluma's beautiful pastures as we march towards a greener, more sustainable future.

Our Butter & Egg Days Parade will showcase over 100 units with approximately 3,000 participants and 200 volunteers. The Festival is a feast for the entire family offering a wide variety of festival foods, crafts, arts, two large "kid areas," and so much more all spread over four city blocks. The strength of Petaluma's giving culture is well documented we are excited and honored to celebrate the generosity and compassion of those that make up the very fabric of our community.

Parade entrants will need to incorporate the theme "Greener Pastures: Sustaining Petaluma's Future" into their float design. The theme gives nonprofits, businesses, organizations, and individuals lots of options for showing off their creativity in their designs. All parade entries will be judged on how well their entry portrays the Parade theme of "Greener Pastures: Sustaining Petaluma's Future."

The Butter & Egg Day festivities kick off on April 13 with the Opening Ceremonies at the Petaluma Historical Library and Museum (20 Fourth St), from noon to 1 pm. Mayor Kevin McDonnell will read a proclamation honoring the Grand Marshal and Good Eggs. Come see the display of hearts or visuals that show the heart of our community.

One week later on Saturday, April 20 the Parade steps off at noon and will march through the historic downtown, surrounded by a festival of fun and activities from 10 am to 5 pm.

Clover Sonoma will return to lead the Clover Kids' Parade, which precedes the main parade at 11:30 am with a procession of preschoolers and primary grade youngsters and their families.
