Defining gender health as the ability to live authentically in one's affirmed gender, The Psychotherapy Institute will explore a new model for working with transgender clients. Increasingly, individuals are expressing gender identity in ways that are contrary to the cultural norms in which they live. As our conception of gender continues to evolve, psychotherapists will need to deepen their understanding of gender and develop new skills for providing care.
Presenters include Diane Ehrensaft, PhD, Erica E. Anderson, PhD, Lin Fraser EdD, LMFT, LPCC, NCC, DCC, and Shawn V. Giammattei, PhD.
