SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Consciousness & Neuroscience
(African Hall)
7:30 & 8:30pm
------> At 7:30pm start off your night of mind-expanding talks on meditation and neuroscience with a presentation by Dr. Helen Weng of UCSF, who uses MRIs and machine learning to study the brain during meditation.

------> Then at 8:30pm, hear a talk from Yonatan W. of Stanford about consciousness in neuroscience titled, "Your brain can fix you - Here's how you can help."

Sunset Salutations
(Living Roof)
7:00pm
------> Do some Sun(Set) Salutations in a very special class taught by Robin Duryea.

Underwater Yoga
(Coral Reef)

------> Inhale/Exhale with three separate classes the Philippine Coral Reef led by Martin Scott.

Yoga + Live DJ Set

6:30, 7:30, & 8:30pm
------> Downward Dog to a live DJ set by DJ HyFi. Class taught by Rebecca Rogers.

*No passes required. Capacity is limited and on a first come first serve basis.

Cutting-Edge Health Science
(Project Lab)
6:00 - 10:00pm
?-----> Learn about neurological peripheral pain syndromes (like phantom limbs) with neuroscientist—and long-time yoga practitioner—Jason Bant of Stanford.

Feed your body wisely with holistic nutrition tips from Bauman College, Health Ade Kombucha, and Numi Tea between yoga sessions.

Please note:

Yoga class capacity is limited in each location and entry is not guaranteed.
Living Roof and Coral Reef yoga sessions require passes which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 6 pm outside on the front building concourse.

EXHIBIT UPDATE

The Academy's Osher Rainforest will be closed for updates from September 5-October 12, 2017. We apologize for any inconvenience. The rainforest will re-open on October 13 with a brand new, immersive cave experience and many more exciting updates.

NIGHTLIFE TIPS

Hurry! Last entry for our Rainforest dome is at 7:45 pm. Please note: drinks are not allowed inside the Rainforest exhibit.

Thirsty? Each bar area features a unique seasonal cocktail—there are multiple bars throughout the museum.

Special programs and lectures may have limited seating and admission will also be made available to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.

PLANETARIUM PASSES

Planetarium passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Early event arrival is strongly recommended due to limited capacity and high demand for passes.

FOOD & DRINK

A variety of food options are available at NightLife from 6:00-9:30 pm, including The Academy Cafe, The Terrace, and The Academy Cafe Food Cart located in the front lobby.

Enjoy a different fresh seasonal "craft on draft" cocktail at each NightLife bar area designed by our resident mixologist Shane McKnight!
All bars accept cash and credit cards.
