What We’ll Do
Come hungry and ready to learn! During this interactive brunch experience, we’ll show you how bone broth is an essential component to your wellness journey. Whether you’re trying to boost your immune system, rev up your metabolism or move away from sweets or carbs, bone broth is the magic elixir that can do it all. So make it your own!
Personalize your bone broth to suit your favorite flavors in this hands-on class! We will introduce you to the abc’s of what makes Bone Broth so nutrient dense… and carve up all flavors and colors of bone broth “accessories” and then eat together. You will also be taking home your very own quart of bone broth (made previously) with toppings, to enjoy 2 ready-to-eat meals the following day. 3 days of bone brothing will leave you feeling satiated, nourished and educated on the benefits of this ancient elixir.
In this hands-on Wellness 101 Workshop, you will learn:

where to find good bones on the cheap
The best devices for ease and simpliciy (slow cooker vs Instapot vs classic stovetop)
the 2-ingredient set-it-and-forget-it-method to get your started with simplicity and ease
the round up of toppings you need to create a full meal from bone broth
Recommendations for which bone broths we trust if you decide to purchase (box vs jar vs powder)
How bone broth is the remedy for leaky gut, adrenal issues, hormone balancing, better poop and so much more!

About your Hosts, Booka & Emma
Booka Alon is a Certified Nutrition Consultant and Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach living in San Francisco. Booka has been providing personalized wellness coaching and nutrition services since 2014 and her specialities include the gut microbiome, women’s hormones, mood balancing and skin disorders. When she is not meeting with clients or leading group detoxes, Booka manages a community garden project in Potrero Hill and is the nutrition educator at Live Oak School, where she teaches children in K-8 how to grow their own food. Check out her website bookasdish.com to learn more.
Emma Ludlum is a recruiter in the tech world. Through her own personal journey of managing corporate stress, Nutrition and Health has become a focus in her life. She grew up in an all organic, fresh, home eating whole foods, thanks to her amazing mother! She has worked with Booka and can vouch for her expertise, and is now exploring options for Nutrition School and health coaching. Her role here is to help translate the biology/nutrition information into lay man terms and share my strategies for incorporating it into her working lifestyle.
