Because every body is beautiful and everyone who has the desire to get tied can learn how to fly!
Diving into less mainstream Shibari, breaking the pre-conceived idea that only young, small, flexible individuals can get tied.
This workshop is divided in two segments:
First segment: All levels, discussion and floor work. Second segment: Intermediate level.
Presenter Bio:
I entered the world of Shibari in Spring 2014, taking the more accessible entry for me that was as a model. In Summer 2015, I was at last able to dedicate myself to my journey as a rigger, mainly following with PrometheusV’s teaching. To this day, I continue learning with her on a weekly basis. Since then, I studied with Nawashi Kanna (Japan), Pedro (Portugal), Nicolas Yoroï (Belgium), Docvale (France) and EbiMcKnotty (Canada).
In October 2016, I co-founded Tension, the first Shibari community space in Montreal, with PrometheusV, teaching level 1 class there when she’s not available, coordinating and supervising various activities at the studio.
I’ve been giving performances regularly in Montreal since December 2016, mainly at Tension, but also for various events, also coordinating artists teams.
Strong from my Massage Therapist training and experience, as well as a solid 15 years dancing, performing and teaching Flamenco, I have acquired a knowledge and understanding of the human body, movements and nonverbal language that influence me a lot in my work as a rigger.
