Big Sur River Gorge Exploration

Be prepared to get wet in this river exploration walk up to the Big Sur Gorge swimming hole. Wear clothing that can get wet, and old tennis shoes or water shoes that strap onto your foot. We will be crossing the river several times, in sometimes knee to waist deep water and climbing over rocks in this 1-mile hike. Bring a backpack, sunscreen, hat, water, and snacks, but leave valuables and electronics that cannot get wet behind. This 1.5 hour river walk will meet at the Pfeiffer Big Sur Day Use #3 Parking Lot. Fee: $10 vehicle entry fee. Entry fee also gives access to public areas of the park.
