'Beyond the Pale' | A Solo Show by Sherri Rose

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Meet the Evil Eye, a demented, delightful demon with major control issues! Follow her centuries-old tug-of-war with one immigrant Jewish family as they transplant, assimilate and seek salvation in Silicon Valley.

Written and performed by Sherri Rose, "Beyond The Pale" is a solo show based on her family's journey from The Pale of Settlement in Russia to the United States. "Beyond The Pale" is a show for everyone who has struggled to fit in and break the bonds of superstition. Weaving past and present together, Sherri also offers a glimpse into an everything-internet future. After the performance, Sherri will hold a discussion on its themes.

Sherri Rose is a writer/performer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has written and performed three full-length solo shows-"Waiting: A Love Story", "How Not To Die" and "Beyond The Pale". Her shows have been presented at Fringe Festivals in the US and Canada, including Ottawa, San Francisco, San Diego, Minneapolis and Indianapolis. Sherri has performed throughout California, including the Dragon Theatre, the Marsh, the Mojo Theatre, Stage Werx, Esalen Institute and the Broadway Playhouse.
