Bethlehem AD is an entertaining and educational re-creation of the event that defines Western Civilization and changed the dates of history. The public walks through the ancient town of Bethlehem at their own pace and along the way interact with colorfully costumed villagers portraying life as it was lived 2000 years ago. Visitors interact with Roman tax collectors and census takers, mingle with Roman soldiers and observe scholars discussing scripture at the synagogue. Children especially love petting the animals which include camels, sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, donkeys, and rabbits. The Magi are portrayed by Redwood City dignitaries who walk through the village and along the waiting line chatting with visitors as they carry their gifts in search of the newborn King. For the entire 3-1/2 hour duration of each night's presentation, angels continuously perform celebratory dances surrounding the manger..
