About the Show
Juliette and Terri will be discussing the state of women in podcasting, audio, music and STEAM and the solutions being implemented by Women’s Audio Mission to bridge the gap. You will learn how to be part of the solution to bring more women in audio engineering and STEAM.
Live Guest: Terri Winston, Executive Director Women’s Audio Mission. Terri founded WAM in 2003 while she was a tenured Professor and Director of the Sound Recording Arts Program at City College of San Francisco from 2001-2011. Her love of music and the recording arts spans 30 years as a songwriter, composer, recording engineer, and producer.
Storytellers
Juliette Roy is a French-American advocate for the power of stories to create positive change. She has been working in audio for over 15 years, from the music industry to online radio and podcasting. Juliette is the founder of Be Your Change which produces podcasts like Tech Inclusion, and is active with the Women’s Audio Mission, which provides audio engineering training to 1,500 girls every year, helping to advance them in STEM and creative technology fields. Juliette is based in Los Angeles.
