Amador County wineries once again open their cellar doors March 2-3, for guests to peek behind the scenes and “experience the art of winemaking” at Behind the Cellar Door 2019.
On Saturday March 2 and Sunday March 3, guests’ tickets are the keys to open cellar doors at more than 40 of Amador’s best wineries. Each stop entitles a guest to a carefully selected flight of wine to taste and thoughtful food pairings along with the opportunity to participate in a myriad of fun and educational seminars and demonstrations. Taste next year’s vintage straight from the barrel, help the vineyard manager prune her vines or learn about the balance of art and science in creating the perfect blend. Everything, even a commemorative wine glass, is included with the ticket price.
Guests are invited to enhance their Behind the Cellar Door weekend with our VIP Experience. VIP ticket holders will have the opportunity to delve even deeper into the mind of a few of Amador’s most acclaimed winemakers through more intimate, exclusive seminars beginning at 10:00 AM each day (one hour before General Admission entries). VIP ticket holders choose one seminar to attend for each day, Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, VIPs will enjoy “a little something special” (additional discounts, tasting of an older vintage, or a unique small bite) at each participating VIP Experience winery.
Ticket prices for Behind the Cellar Door 2018:
VIP - $95 – includes early access on both Saturday and Sunday through participation in exclusive VIP seminars, a VIP treat at each participating winery and everything else included with General Admission tickets.
