Would you like to learn how Lightroom works? Do you have images in several different locations and don’t know how to best organize them? In this one-day workshop, Reid Thaler will teach you how Adobe Lightroom Classic CC can be your go-to software solution for organizing, enhancing, printing, and sharing your images.
This class is ideal for those that want to create order out of chaos from their image collection and move forward with their photography so that photos can be used for anything from creating photo books to slide shows, and even website development.
Reid will teach you:
How to import images from your memory cards.
How to organize your photos into manageable collections with rating and keywords for easy access.
How to create presets for increasing your speed and precision so you can spend more time shooting and less at the computer.
Course Level/Experience Needed
This workshop is designed for complete beginners as well as those that have used the program but haven’t established a workflow for downloading, retrieving, and archiving their photos. Students should know how to create and move files and folders and to navigate their computer. Students must know where their images are stored on their computer or on their external hard drive.
Instructor Bio:
Reid first ventured into photography 40 years ago taking pictures of his dog with a Kodak Brownie camera. He soon graduated to an adjustable camera, a light meter, and a darkroom. His experience is varied from shooting portraits, exploring the intimate world of macro photography, to teaching pinhole camera construction at a camp for the blind.
Reid has taught digital photography at College of Marin, Santa Rosa Junior College, Looking Glass Photo in Berkeley, and Keeble & Shuchat Photo in Palo Alto. Reid’s patient and innovative teaching style has inspired students to achieve professional quality work.
