In the early summer unfurling, look and listen to what surrounds us above in the expansive canopy, down on the forest floor, on the trunks, or among the ferns. We will spend a late afternoon at the Redwood Forest Theater, capturing thoughts and perceptions in words and sketches. No journaling or drawing skills are required. Just bring a sketchbook or a journal, some pencils of varying softness, an eraser, a pen (if you want), a seat cushion, and your open eyes and ears. Bring a lunch and stay longer to keep journaling if you'd like. The event is facilitated by Birgit Nielsen, Interpretive Senior Park Aide, who will assist with prompts, tips, and examples.
Event is free after $10 parking fee, or $9 for anyone over 62.
