Looking to serve the community, meet new civically-minded people, and enjoy the great outdoors in the process? Join Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco this Saturday at our Park Beautification at Little Hollywood Park! From 9am-12pm, the scope of our volunteer work will include pruning shrubs and trees, removing brush and debris, spreading mulch, and general park maintenance. No experience is necessary, and we provide all equipment, plus snacks and water. Family-friendly! (minimum age: 14)
Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco strives to beautify and expand community parks to make them cleaner, safer, and more accessible for everyone. We partner with San Francisco Rec and Parks Department, community members, volunteer groups, and facilities to support community needs through repairs and park clean-ups. SFRPD has a comparatively small staff allocated to the 17 parks in this region of the city, so volunteers like you can make a huge difference!
