Beach Chalet Celebrates New Beer Debut With Complimentary Commemorative Glassware
Beach Chalet Brewery & Restaurant in San Francisco is celebrating the debut of a new limited edition house-brewed beer, Altimeter Altbier. All day on Friday, July 28 only, guests purchasing a pint will get to keep the commemorative glass (while supplies last) that it is served in.
Altimeter Altbier, created by the restaurant's Master Brewer Aron Deorsey, is a German brown ale originally brewed in Dusseldorf, Germany. It translates to "old beer" referring to an old style of brewing in Germany when beer was fermented with ale yeast, but aged for long periods of time at low temperatures like a lager. The Beach Chalet logo for the beer is inspired by the Dusseldorf flag, with the same lion and colors.
Beach Chalet is located in an historic building that is home to the Golden Gate Park Visitors’ Center at the Western edge of the park fronting the ocean. There is free, accessible onsite parking, almost unheard of in San Francisco.
