Join the Bay Area Youth Climate Summit for their sixth annual Bay Area Youth Climate Summit in the General's Residence at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture (upper Fort Mason, enter at Bay and Franklin streets). The theme for 2025 is "Rooted In Resistance: Bridging Communities To Action." More than 250 youth, educators, and climate leaders from the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond gather for an incredible day of knowledge-building, community resilience, and change-making.
Every year, the Bay Area Youth Climate Summit hosts more than 150 attendees in a day of learning, networking, and fun! The free summit features an inspiring keynote and more than 15 workshops across many fields: Gen-Z organizers, local non-profit and collective leaders, filmmakers, journalists, environmental educators, and artists. These participants bring their knowledge of BIPOC environmental justice, creating documentaries, urban planning, climate policy, textile reuse, youth empowerment, the intersection of climate, neuroscience, and mental health, climate education, and more. A comprehensive list of workshop offerings can be found here.
The Climate Summit lunch activity fair features tabling from local organizations, a thrift booth, a display of Climate Action Plans (CAPs), photo-ops, pot decorating, book swaps, and policy-related booths. Network with youth from across the San Francisco Bay Area and learn how to take action in communities. Free small bites and boba are provided to all attendees, and public transportation stipends / free lunch are offered to those who qualify.
