The Bay Area Film Mixer is back in June and we are better than ever! For the past 7+ years, we have learned a ton, inspired a ton, and created opportunities for the greater Bay Area Film community, and strive to do even more. With this gained experience, we are making changes that we believe will level up the quality, the value and the opportunities at our events. We never want to be cost prohibitive, but the fact is making the event 100% free has both costs and benefits. It is our goal with every mixer that we bring together serious filmmakers from every gamut of the filmmaking process. You would never buy a $5 coffee at Starbucks and then just walk away without the drink in hand. By this logic we believe that charging a door fee of the price of a coffee will greatly reduce the chances of no-shows which greatly increases all of our ability to network with high quality individuals. Not only that, it will allow us to invest into the infrastructure of the event and create even more avenues of connectivity and resources. We are excited at this new direction and many plans are already in the works as to how to make this an even greater resource for the Bay Area Film Community. Join us in this new chapter, by attending our events and being a voice. By doing so, you are taking an active role in inspiring the direction of filmmaking in the Bay Area!We can’t wait to see you at our next event!
About us:
