B-Side Sunday Dinner Series with Codex

We are pleased to announce our second B-Side Sunday Dinner Series taking place on Sunday, June 25th. This event highlights the SF-based Codex team: liquid chefs Anthony Keels and Nathan Maxwell Cann and solid chefs Adam Lawrence and Matt Lowe. This evening promises to surprise and delight guests with a cocktail-focused menu examining the origins of taste by reproducing archaic and extinct flavors utilizing both ancient and modern culinary techniques. Be prepared to be transported.
Tickets required for full prix fixe menu.
Prix Fixe Cocktail Pairing Menu:$100 per person, excluding tax/gratuity
Sneak peak of the menu will be available a few days prior to the eventABOUT CODEX:Codex is a collaborative project examining the origins of taste by reproducing archaic and extinct flavors (Forgotten Fare) utilizing both ancient and modern culinary techniques. Codex addresses the logic of constructing a meal of several dishes so that they harmonize with one another, to the use of primarily local and seasonal ingredients to contribute to this harmony, and also an internal harmony within individual dishes. We will be presenting ancient and forgotten recipes ways never before explored. From The Codex: a code, a book of statutes; an ancient manuscript; a blueprint or diagram; a list of chemicals, drugs, and substances.

Introduced in April 2017, B-Side is a lounge space within SFJAZZ in Hayes Valley that offers delicious food for patrons going to a show at SFJAZZ as well as those that just want to enjoy a drink or meal. B-Side is brought to you by Salt Partners Group, a food and beverage focused hospitality group based here in San Francisco that brought you Atelier Crenn and Petit Crenn with Dominique Crenn, Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream, Horsefeather, LocoL, Bacon Bacon, Halcyon, and Stella Public House.
FAQs:Why is this a ticketed event and not a regular reservation?Due to the nature of a pop-up, this event is a one-night-only chance to experience our guest talent in the kitchen.
What is included in the ticket price? Your ticket is a pre-payment of the prix fixe cocktail pairing menu (food & beverage). Tickets exclude CA state tax and gratuity. Our restaurant staff works hard to serve you. We simply ask that you add gratuity at the end of the night based on the full value of your menu. Thank you in advance.
Can I request a menu substitution?We apologize but due to the unique nature of the menu and its ingredients, we are unable to accommodate substitutions. 
Do you take walk-ins?Our prix fixe cocktail pairing menu will be served only to those who buy pre-paid tickets. However, yes, we can accommodate walk-ins (based on space availability) to experience our cocktails only a la carte.
Can I change the time of my reservation?We are offering 2 timed seatings at 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Should you need to make a change to your reservation between these times, please contact us up to 72 hours in advance ONLY (email: [email protected]). Seating is subject to availability.
What's the cancelation/refund policy?Due to the one-time-only nature of this event, we regretfully cannot accept cancelations or refunds.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?Yes, please bring your printed tickets with you to verify your purchase when you check with our staff that evening. Thank you.
