B.A.S.S. - Bay Area Solidarity Strike

Bay Area Solidarity Strike (B.A.S.S.) is an event organized by local Bay Area DJs, promoters, and collectives to raise a strike fund for artists who have withdrawn from a planned upcoming Boiler Room event in San Francisco. The BASS Strike Fund is a financial resource that will ensure that artists boycotting Boiler Room (in response to its recent acquisition by KKR, a private equity and investment firm with continued investment in Israeli tech and data firms as well as connections to weapons manufacturers and defense contractors) is a viable option regardless of financial need. Through mutual aid, our community can make a material impact and ensure that withdrawal of labor is sustainable for Bay Area arts workers.
