A family performance - AXIS presents the creation of a new performance program designed for all young audiences and their families in a relaxed environment. This interactive show will engage the full family with short performances of AXIS' latest works including Robert Dekkers' "Flutter," AXIS Artistic Director Marc Brew's "Quartet No. 1," and Nadia Adame's "Historias Rotas." Guest appearance by SF Ballet Trainee Program students. Come early for pizza from Mozzerias food truck!

-Pre-Show Touch Tour (1 pm -1:30 pm) Designed for people with visual impairments or who are blind and others interested in an inside experience, this tour provides participants with an intimate and up close tactile experience to feel and engage with the space, artists, props, costumes and set up of the stage. Participants will learn more about the works and the movement language that will inform and enlighten their performance experience with an opportunity to answer any questions.
-Fragrance-Free Seating Area To help make our events accessible to all people, please use fragrance-free, non-toxic toiletries, cleaning products and other supplies, and avoid scented products whenever possible. We will be providing fragrance-free soap in the all-gender wheelchair accessible restrooms. Please note that the Malonga Center is a City of Oakland building that includes artist residencies as well as resident companies who may be using cleaning products, scents, or common food allergens within the building.
