Ever been curious about practicing acroyoga and put off by its perfect lines and gut wrenchingly perfect aesthetic? Already practice acroyoga or acrobatics and want to try a challenging and growth-inspiring version of the practice? Come join for Awkroyoga! The most awkward of all acro practices. (Re)Learn how to play, take ourselves less seriously, and maybe actually touch some deeper, meaningful parts about movement, our bodies, and each other!
Travis has been an acroyoga and partner acrobatics practitioner for 15 years. They also have a background in contemporary dance, partner dance, and a slew of non-movement based practices centered around community and care. They co-created Awkroyoga in 2017 while finishing their teacher trainings in both Acroyoga Montreal and Partner Acrobatics over the course of the following year. If you know an absurd factoid, they'd love to hear it! Also any puns, jokes, and tongue twisters.
