For 80 years SF's 49 Mile Scenic Drive has directed tourists and locals alike around the Best of SF. Now it's SF's new walking adventure. Come join the fun—WALK the Drive.
Walk #13 begins at the base of Twin Peaks—Market/Portola entrance—for a climb up and over Twin Peaks. Gogeous. Stunning. Then we head down the other side on a thoroughly lovely meander through Corona Heights.
As we walk by it all, the authors will share a few tidbits of the most-likely-true history and fun factoids we discovered while researching the guidebook.
PRIDE BONUS We'll get an up-close view of the giant Pink Triangle that goes up once a year on Twin Peaks. Plus, the walk back to the begining goes through the heart of the Castro
FREE. Gratuities appreciated.
ENDS: Market & 14th Streets. You can hop on Muni back to the beginning. Or walk back with us on another 2.5 mile up hill hike through the Castro. Or take off for your own adventure.
