WALK #3 (of 17 Walks) - for 80th Anniversary Challenge
JOIN THE AUTHORS of the SF Guide, Walking San Francisco's 49 Mile Scenic Drive, for a 3-mile hike along a section of the 49 Mile Scenic Drive that visitors love: Walk #3, Fisherman's Wharf to the Presidio
For 80 years SF's 49 Mile Scenic Drive has directed tourists and locals alike around the Best of SF. Whether or not you are taking the challenge to WALK the ENTIRE 49 Mile Scenic Drive in 2018—you are welcome to get a taste of this new SF Walking Adventure.
Walk #3 begins begin with a stroll along the iconic sites and sounds of Fisherman’s Wharf, then continues along the Bay to the Marina Green, before heading through the Marina District, with a postcard-perfect stop at the Palace of Fine Arts, ending at the Presidio Gate
As we walk by it all, the authors will share a few tidbits of the most-likely-true history and fun factoids we discovered while researching the guidebook.
BEGIN: corner of Jefferson Street at Mason Street
END: Lombard Street at Lyon Street. You can hop on Muni back to the beginning. Or take off for your own adventure.
Difficulty: mild, 2 out 5 hill steepness rating
Well-behaved children and dogs welcomed
Books available for purchase and autographing at event or walksf49.com
(If RAIN, or some act of God, cancels the walk, we'll inform attendees via email.)
