SEE EVENT DETAILS
Author Linda Lambert comes to the Capitola Book Cafe to discuss her newest release, The Cairo Codex. The book tells the story of two women, who lived two thousand years apart, as their lives become intertwined when an ancient diary is found in Old Cairo. An anthropologist, a force of nature, and a codex lead to a complex and engrossing novel of Egyptian history, religion, feminism, politics, and the pressures that lead to revolution. Linda Lambert is Professor Emeritus at California State University, East Bay, and has has worked in Egypt as a state department envoy and designer of UNESCO Community Schools for Girls.
