On Thursday, August 16th at 7:00pm, BookShop West Portal is hosting Jo Piazza, the author of Charlotte Walsh Likes to Win. In a rave review published last weekend, Salon called it "the essential political novel for the 2018 midterms." It's about a Silicon Valley executive who returns to her Pennsylvania hometown for a Senate run. To celebrate the publication of this timely novel, we are putting together a small panel to join Jo in discussion. Jo says, "The discussion is less about the book and more a rousing discussion about the challenges facing women running for office." Other panelists include Lindsay Lassman, political fundraiser; Kimberly Ellis, former Executive Director of Emerge CA; and Judson True, Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to Assemblymember David Chiu.
