Local author Don Young comes to the Capitola Book Cafe to celebrate his 90th birthday and the release of his newest book, The Ascending Star and Other Stories. This collection brings together three thought-provoking tales: the title story of a woman who survives the horrors of a Nazi concentration camp in World War II; and two other stories on the human condition, specifically our natural proclivity to love and be loved. As this event doubles as a birthday party, there will be cake for all!
