This is a 1-day, 3 hour event highlights the outstanding work of speculative fiction featuring and/or directed by women-of-color. It's also re-frames the discussion to show that communities-of-color are producing creative, imaginative, and outstanding work that is not being recognized.
Also included, fIlmmaker and Stanford University professor Dr. Kathleen Antonia Tarr will lead a discussion to introduce her premiere film "Early Aliens."
The series will occur at the Koret Auditorium at the San Francisco Main Library at 100 Larkin Street, San Francisco, CA. In collaboration with the San Francisco Main Library's African American Center and sponsored through an award from OAKLANDISH.
