"Are We Crazy About Our Kids?" explores how investing in high-quality early care and preschool pays for itself in many ways. We as a nation are spending too little where it matters most. Our system is paying for failure rather than investing in success. What will we do about it? "Wounded Places", filmed in Oakland and Philadelphia tells stories of children shaken by violence, neglect, and other forms of trauma. They show symptoms similar to PTSD - except there is no "post" Of these children the film asks not "What's wrong with you?" but "What happened to you?" and how can traumatized children and neighborhood heal? Food will be available for purchase. Admission is free of charge.
