Spend an afternoon with Prof. David Wolber of the Computer Science Department at the University of San Francisco. At USF and on his site (http://www.appinventor.org/), Wolber teaches beginners to program with App Inventor, an app building program developed by Google and MIT. App Inventor provides the fastest way to build apps for Android phones and tablets. Even with no prior experience, you can learn to build apps within hours. The event is designed for college students, middle elementary school teachers and parents who are interested in learning about App Inventor and in teaching children how to use App Inventor in classrooms and at home.
We encourage that you bring your own laptop for the hands on workshop segment of the event. Please contact the organizer if you can't bring your own laptop.
