ANNUAL HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING
RETURNS TO JACK LONDON SQUARE
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2019 · 5-8 P.M.
OAKLAND, CA (October 29, 2019)--Jack London Square will celebrate the start of the holiday season with the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, November 22 from 5-8 p.m. Festivities will begin at 5 p.m., with the lighting of the tree taking place at 6:30 p.m. Oakland's favorite annual holiday tradition promises to deliver holiday magic to the Oakland waterfront with the lighting of a spectacular 50+ foot Mount Shasta Fir Tree adorned with thousands of sparking white lights and hundreds of colorful ornaments. More than 2,500 people are expected to gather for the event, which will feature festive holiday entertainment, holiday pop up shops, a local artisan market, and more! The festivities are open to the public and free to attend.
Attendees can arrive early to enjoy dinner and drinks at Jack London Square's thriving food and beverage scene, home to contemporary establishments including Belcampo Oakland, Dyafa, Heinhold's First & Last Chance Saloon, Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine, Forge Pizza, Grocery Cafe, Lungomare, plank, Yoshi's, Rosenblum Cellars, and Scott's Seafood! Jack London Square is also an ideal destination for holiday shopping. Visitors can find one-of-a-kind gifts at Ayesha Curry's HOMEMADE and Oakland Supply Co. For the adventure-lover, California Canoe and Kayak offers a variety of kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddleboards and surf skis, as well as classes and rentals.
