Join us at Anchor Brewing for the release of our latest Barrel Aged Christmas Ale!
We aged our 2017 Christmas Ale in various whiskey, bourbon and brandy barrels for a year, and then tasted all of the individual barrels to select this very special blend. The result is a beautiful roasted masterpiece with whiskey, vanilla, oak and sumptuous wintry spice notes layered on top of a rich chocolaty malt base. We change our Christmas Ale recipe every year and always keep it a closely guarded secret. There are roasted malts and other grains as well as some select spices and hops chosen specifically for this recipe. The 2017 recipe produced a particularly delightful beer that aged quite well in the bottle, but even better in whiskey, bourbon and brandy barrels!
