Join poets Sarah Kobrinsky and John Oliver Simon and novelist and essayist Stacy Carlson as they delve into creative rituals and our relationship to them. In this Open Classroom, they’ll examine the rituals that have enabled, sustained, fed their creative lives – and explore the notion that even our creative rituals have a lifespan.
Point Richmond resident Sarah Kobrinsky was the 2013-2015 Poet Laureate of Emeryville, CA, and a Pushcart nominee. Stacy Carlson is the author of the novel Among the Wonderful (Steerforth/Random House 2011). John Oliver Simon is one of the legendary poets of the Berkeley Sixties and recently published his ninth full collection of poems GRANDPA'S SYLLABLES (White Violet Press, 2015).
