Oshman Family JCC presents an evening with acclaimed author Anita Diamant for a discussion on her new book, The Boston Girl, a coming-of-age story about family ties and values, friendship and feminism told through the eyes of young Jewish woman growing up in Boston in the early twentieth century. The Boston Girl follows Addie Baum, a young woman born in 1900 to immigrant parents who were unprepared for modern America and its effect on their three daughters. The story is sparked by one simple question from Addie’s twenty-two year old granddaughter: “How did you get to be the woman you are today?”
