Anne Lamott is a bestselling novelist and essayist who lives in Northern California. She has generously donated her time to speak at this event to raise funds in support of the arts enrichment program at Oakland's Henry J Kaiser Elementary.
Come listen to live music, see artwork created by our students through the direction of Ms. Leonardo (Bonnie Allen), and hear Anne Lamott's moving thoughts about hope and faith.
There will be a special VIP mixer from 6:30-7:30pm with beverages, hor d'oeuvres, and music. Tickets for this are a minimum donation of $100.
The main event begins at 7:30pm. Afterward Anne Lamott will sign books (available for purchase at the event).
Raffle tickets are $5 for the chance to win fabulous prizes including a $100 Gift Certificate to Piedmont Springs and a champagne brunch for four at Claremont Country Club, valued at $275.
Parking will be available at Thornhill Elementary. Volunteers will be onsite to assist.
