The Kanbar Center for the Performing Arts is excited to be the on going host for The Other Café Comedy Showcase. Over the course of 20 years The Other Cafe has produced a series of special shows entitled "An Evening of Jewish Humor", including a sold out show at Davies Symphony Hall in SF.
The Kanbar Center is pleased to have this celebrated series come to us this year. The series has featured a hilarious array of established and up and coming comedians. Previous performers including names such as Larry King, Jerry Seinfeld, Henny Youngman, David Steinberg, Robert Klein, Rita Rudner, Mort Sahl, Richard Lewis, Rickard Belzer, Steve Landesberg, Shelley Berman, Bobby Slayton and Elayne Boosler.
WHAT: Another great night of Comedy presented by collaborative efforts from The Kanbar Center @ the Osher Marin JCC and The Other Café Comedy Showcase
WHO: All are invited. General Admission seating. Tickets $25.00 - $55.00 some table seating available.

Andy Kindler is known in comedy circles as a troublemaker. Originally from New York, and now complaining from California, he annoys people all over the world.
Andy is a frequent guest and correspondent for The Late Show with David Letterman. He is infamous for his scathing attacks on the world of entertainment, including the previously taboo practice of making fun of his fellow comedians. Just as the comedy boom of the nineties was imploding, Andy wrote the "Hack’s Handbook" for National Lampoon. This "how to" guide satirized and exposed tired comedy formulas.
Andy can be seen on the upcoming season of IFC’s Maron. Other noteworthy credits include the HBO Young Comedians Special, Late Night with Conan O’Brian, The Daily Show, Wizards of Waverly Place, Dr. Katz Professional Therapist, Home Movies and The Larry Sanders Show. Andy is often recognized for playing the life-affirming character “Andy” on the CBS sitcom, Everybody Loves Raymond.
Cathy Ladman. As one of the country's top comedians, Ladman's show is a self-probing, anxiety-venting vehicle, which draws laughter from exposing personal neurosis. She has not only appeared on "The Tonight Show" nine times, but was also the only female comic to appear on the last two of Johnny Carson’s "Tonight Show Anniversary" shows. She’s enjoyed three appearances on “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, has had her own HBO "One Night Stand" comedy special, and was awarded the American Comedy Award for Best Female Stand Up Comic.
A native New Yorker, Cathy’s film credits include "Charlie Wilson's War," "The Aristocrats," "White Oleander," "What Planet Are You From?" "My Fellow Americans," and "Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead." Her guest-starring TV roles include "Mad Men," "Pretty Little Liars," "Brothers and Sisters," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," and "Everybody Loves Raymond."
Cathy's comedy focuses on family, growing up, relationships, and real life from a very personal perspective. The Los Angeles Times put it best: "... Ladman has such clever, well-written material and such a breezy, unassuming delivery that it would be easy to overlook just how good she is: Her act seems effortless."
Mark Miller started his comedy career in the San Francisco stand-up comedy scene, where he shared the comedy club stages doing improvisational comedy. After moving to Los Angeles, he became a stand-up fixture at the Comedy Store and Improvisation nightclubs. Mark has written for Roseanne, Rodney Dangerfield, Joan Rivers, Jimmie Walker, Gallagher, Jay Leno, Garry Shandling, Jim Carrey, Dana Carvey and many others. He is a nationally syndicated humor columnist for the Los Angeles Times Syndicate. His humor essays have also appeared in "Playboy" and "Penthouse" magazines, and in "The Jewish Journal" and Jewlarious.com among others.
