Amish Quilt Miniature Hot Pad with Patti Henry

Be inspired by the strong, simple geometry of the Amish quilt culture. Blend rich patterns into a hot pad. You will want to live with your creations for years to come.

Many supplies are provided, such as textile remnants, (plus quilted fabrics for padding), myriad choices of ribbon, buttons, thread. Students may choose to bring their own printed fabrics (at least 6 inches square) or other interesting supplies.

Students will be required to bring a sewing machine.

Instructor Bio: Patti Henry received her MA at SJSU in the area of Design, with a concentration in Fiber/Mixed Media. She began teaching in 1966 at the high school and then University level, and continues to the present time. Concurrently Patti has produced and sold fiber and mixed media works worldwide, in private and public collections.
