The American Council on Germany San Francisco Warburg Chapter is pleased to have Prof. Dr. Naika Foroutan at the Goethe-Institut San Francisco on December 5th, 2016. Naika Foroutan is Professor of Integration Research and Social Policy in the Department of Social Sciences at Humboldt University in Berlin. She appears frequently on German television talk shows to discuss questions of immigration. Born in Teheran, she is a primary example of an immigrant success story. She has addressed our Study Tours in recent years and is fluent in English as well as German. Prof. Foroutan is the recipient of many awards and honors. She has been named as one of “100 Women of Tomorrow” by the initiative Germany - Land of Ideas under the auspices of former Federal President Christian Wulff. An expert in Islamic Studies, she has written extensively on Muslim integration in Europe.
