Share your inner light this Hanukkah with a family day of art and service at The CJM. Decorate a tote bag with messages of hope in a project led by our Teen Art Connect (TAC) interns; then, bring your tote home to fill it with helpful items for the local Jewish Family and Children Services food pantry. Families will also be invited to share their personal golden rules on fabric, and weave them into textiles on community looms in the Zim Zoom Family Room. Activities will be followed by a family tour of the exhibition "Tikkun: For the Cosmos, Community and Ourselves," featuring works by thirty Bay Area-based contemporary artists reflecting on the Jewish concept of tikkun (Hebrew for "to repair.")
