Ride your bike around panoramic views of the Bay Alameda and end at Washington Park in Alameda for an after-party for the entire family!
Our 4th Annual Alameda Bike for the Parks is a fundraiser bike ride, 100% of proceeds go to Alameda parks. Choose between a 25-mile or 8-mile kid's ride; both end at Washington Park for an after-party... kid's games, jumpers, craft tables, bike demos, beer garden and music. Four rest stops, free bike repairs & pickup support, and carefully-planned routes ensure a fun, safe, and doable challenge for everyone.
Pre-register and receive a FREE DriFit ride jersey, all entrants receive free hotdog lunch. Cost for ride is $45, under 16 pays $25.
We also offer a Team Challenge, allowing a team of 6 or more to share a great team-building event. Free to register, simply pay for the ride fee together or separately, for a chance to win plaques for “Team Spirit” (most participants) or “Team Flair” (costumes encouraged!)
The 25-mile ride is a loop around Alameda, with mostly shoreline trails. Three fully-stocked rest stops and emergency mobile services are available to fix your ride or take you to the park. Check out the former Alameda Naval Air Base, Alameda Marina & docks, Alameda Crown Beach, and Bayfarm Island.
The 8-mile ride is an out-and-back from Osborne Model Airfield and back; a rest-stop will be at Osborne to ensure an achievable ride for even the youngest of tykes.
Our after-party is open to the public, so your loved ones can meet you after the ride and join in on the fun! Food and beer is available, and a deejay will be jamming family-friendly tunes as Alameda Parks & Recreation staff will host kid's games and jumpers. Craft booths and ebike demos from Specialized Bicycles will ensure a fun time for everyone. Join us!
