Acorn Preparation the Ohlone Way

Five Hundred years ago the Ohlone people lived a lifestyle that was very different from our modern ways today. Join Lee Summers, park interpreter, as we turn back the clocks to another time and another way of life as we learn about the Ohlone way of life through artifacts and stories as well as prepare a standard Ohlone dish of acorn. Anyone ages 6 and up will have a chance to shell, pound, and leach acorn on the way to cooking this nutritious meal. Group size is limited to 12; sign up by calling 831-454-7941.
