This has become problematic because the right to religious liberty often offers religious institutions the ability to discriminate against LGBTQ+ people with immunity.
This session will offer a brief legal and historical overview of how Religious liberty has interacted with LGBTQ+ rights in the US. Then, we will discuss some of the moral implications of this debate and brainstorm some potential paths forward for the LGBTQ+ community.
