We're excited to be hosting a panel of amazing journalists from around the country as part of our next Academy Forum. We will be talking about the importance of raising LGBTQ+ voices in the media today and the challenges involved. This virtual discussion will be hosted online and mediated by Liam Mayclem, TV personality and host of Eye on the Bay.

Participating panelists include:

Reggie Aqui, anchor for ABC7 Mornings in the SF Bay Area
Mark Segal, LGBT activist & publisher
Jeffrey Masters, creator/host of LGBTQ&A, an interview podcast co-produced by The Advocate magazine and GLAAD
Kim Severson, national food correspondent for the New York Times and the former Atlanta bureau chief
Kara Swisher, editor-at-large of New York Media, host of the Pivot podcast and executive producer of the Code Conference
