Moved by the silencing of the Kurdish language by Turkish laws, renowned American storyteller Diane Edgecomb embarks on a journey of intrigue and heart to record the last Kurdish storytellers.
This is the deeply moving, richly humorous story of her journey through the remote mountains of Turkey and of the extraordinary people who shared their lives and their stories with her.
LITE REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED DURING A POST-SHOW DISCUSSION WITH MEMBERS OF THE KURDISH COMMUNITY.
This performance will be held at the First Congregational Church of Oakland (2501 Harrison St, Oakland, CA 94612) in Reidenbach Hall at 1:30 on Saturday, January 25, 2020.
