With the thin crusts and all the memorabilia hanging from the walls, this place is as close to the Big Apple as you’ll find on Stevens Creek Boulevard. Any place that posts mug shots of customers who’ve been 86ed is worth the price of admission alone.
Started by a former Silicon Valley techie, A Slice of New York brings more than just a slice of the Big Apple to the South Bay. It's the whole pie. There's great thin-crust pizza, of course, as well as calzones, strombolis and meatball sandwiches.
This no-nonsense pizza joint does everything right: The crust is thin and crisp with just enough chewiness in the right places. The tomato sauce is tart and flavorful and applied with restraint and the rich, chewy mozzarella cheese ties it all togther.
