"A New Color: The Art of Being Edythe Boone,” an award-winning film, will be of great interest to historians and art lovers of the Bay Area. “A New Color" features a strong 77-year-old activist artist Edythe Boone — whose story spans from Harlem to Berkeley and from Malcolm X to Eric Garner (her nephew) and reveals not just what it is to be Black or to lose a loved one, but what it is to be human.
